After more than 24 years in law enforcement with the Riverside County Probation Department, I founded Clubb 1 Investigations to continue a lifelong mission; helping people, organizations, and communities stay safe, prepared, and confident in critical situations.

Throughout my career, I served in leadership, instructional, and operational roles that shaped my approach to safety and training. Today, that same foundation of integrity, professionalism, and real-world experience drives every service we provide.

The Confident by Design™ Firearms Training Path at Clubb 1 Investigations is built to take responsible citizens from basic firearm safety to confident defensive competence.

Whether you are a new gun owner or an experienced shooter looking to sharpen your skills, our training follows a structured progression that develops safety, skill, and confidence step by step.

Every program is led by Tony Clubb, a retired law enforcement professional with over 24 years of experience in firearms instruction, tactical operations, and public safety training.

The Confident by Design™ Training Path

1. Foundations of Firearm Safety & Marksmanship

Start here if you are new to firearms or want to strengthen your fundamentals.

This course focuses on the essential principles of safe firearm ownership and marksmanship. Students learn proper gun handling, safe storage practices, and the core shooting fundamentals that build confidence at the range.

Students will learn:

• Firearm safety principles
• Proper grip, stance, and trigger control
• Sight alignment and sight picture
• Safe loading and unloading procedures
• Basic accuracy and consistency

This course creates the foundation every responsible gun owner should have.

2. Riverside County CCW Certification Courses

Responsible carry requires responsible training.

Our California CCW courses meet the training requirements for concealed carry permits while emphasizing real-world responsibility and safe firearm handling.

Students gain practical knowledge about lawful concealed carry and develop confidence in their ability to safely carry a firearm.

Training includes:

• California CCW legal considerations
• Safe concealed carry practices
• Defensive mindset and situational awareness
• Firearm handling and qualification

This training goes beyond the minimum standard to help students become responsible and confident concealed carriers.

Hybrid CCW Online Classroom + Range Qualification Option

Clubb 1 Investigations has teamed up with AAO CCW Training to offer a streamlined, high-quality Concealed Carry Weapon (CCW) training option for Riverside County residents. Students complete the required classroom instruction online, on their own schedule and from the comfort of home, through AAO’s professionally developed curriculum. After successfully completing the online portion, students can schedule their live-fire qualification with Clubb 1 at Prado Olympic Shooting Park, where training is conducted to Riverside County Sheriff’s Department standards with a strong emphasis on safety, accountability, and real-world application. To get started, visit the AAO CCW Training website (https://aao-co.com) to enroll in the online course, then return to Clubb 1 to complete your qualification.

3. Defensive Pistol Skills I & II

Where fundamentals become defensive capability.

This course builds on foundational skills and focuses on developing the ability to effectively use a handgun in defensive situations.

Students learn to manage their firearm efficiently while maintaining accuracy and control.

Training focuses on:

• Defensive shooting fundamentals
• Efficient weapon handling
• Reloading and malfunction management
• Engaging multiple targets
• Accuracy under time constraints

Students leave this course with greater confidence, control, and defensive capability.

4. Private Firearms Instruction

Personalized coaching for accelerated improvement.

Private instruction allows students to work directly with the instructor to address specific goals, skill development, or confidence-building.

Private lessons are ideal for:

• Students preparing for CCW qualification
• Shooters looking to refine defensive skills
